Assistant Chief Myers began his fire service career with Pine Ridge Fire Department in 2011 and has steadily progressed through the ranks due to his dedication to the service, his department, and its members. Matt is a South Carolina Fire Academy certified Instructor and certified in Haz-Mat and Technical Rescue.
Matt is a life long resident of Berkeley County and graduate of Stratford High School. He is a full-time member of the Summerville Fire Department and assigned to their Hazardous Materials Team in addition to his fire suppression duties. He is married to Kayla Myers and the doting father of the two beautiful daughters.
Assistant Chief Myers leads our Logistics Division overseeing purchasing and maintenance for apparatus and equipment, facilities, and supplies while also serving in a command role on scene.
