Charles (Ryan) Hall

Chief Hall was born and raised in Waynesville, North Carolina where he started his fire career as a volunteer at the Junaluska Fire Department. He attended the South Carolina Fire Academy in late 2002 and began with the City of Charleston Fire Department in 2003. He currently holds the rank of Captain on Ladder 104 C shift with the City of Charleston and serves on SC Task Force 3.

He has been involved with the fire service in Berkeley County for nearly 15 years.

In 2018, he accepted the position of Deputy Chief of Operations at Pine Ridge Fire Department where he directs and oversees the response elements for six fire stations including 80 volunteer, part-time and full-time members. He has been instrumental in developing the policies and procedures during the unprecedented growth of the department.  

In between his career promotions and certifications he also earned an Associates Degree in Fire Science and a Bachelors Degree in Fire Administration. 

No one loves the fire service more than Chief Hall who enjoys serving his community and sharing those experiences with his family.
