Assistant Chief Lusher was born and raised in Barboursville, WV - where he began his time in the fire service at Barboursville Volunteer Fire Department starting in 2011. Chief Lusher moved to the Lowcountry in 2017, where he started his career with the City of Charleston Fire Department. Chief Lusher currently holds the rank of Engineer on Rescue Company 15 C shift. He is also a member of South Carolina Task Force 1 and South Carolina Task Force 3 Urban Search and Rescue teams.

Chief Lusher started with Pine Ridge Fire Department in 2019 and has worked his way to his current position- Assistant Chief of Training. Chief Lusher is a certified South Carolina Fire Instructor, certified Paramedic and South Carolina medical instructor.  When away from work he likes to spend time with his wife Kendall and their daughter as well as family and friends! email: alusher@pineridgefd.org
