1st Quarter:
- Firefighter
Gregory Neiderhiser was awarded
the Firefighter of the Quarter by the officers of
the department. Greg is assigned to the New Hope
station. He previously volunteered with the Old
Fort Fire Department in Dorchester County before
moving into Pine Ridge's district. Greg serves as
a training lieutenant with the South Carolina Department
of Corrections. He is consistently at each training
meeting and work detail. He was given a $50.00 gift
certificate from Lowe's.

- 2nd Quarter:

John "Loui" Lewis
was awarded the Firefighter of the Quarter by the
officers of the department. John began with Pine
Ridge in 2007. He is a business owner in the area
and had interest of being a firefighter. At 51 years
old he completed the OSHA Firefighter training to
become a certified interior firefighter. John can
be counted on to answer fire calls at all hours
of the day. He generally stays in the top 5% of
call runners. John was featured in the Post and
Courier about being a fire fighter one leg.

- 3rd Quarter:
- Firefighter
Robert Gray was awarded the
Firefighter of the Quarter by the officers of the
department. Robert shows his dedication each and
every day with the fire department. Robert keeps
the station clean and check apparatus off without
even being asked to. Robert assist with fire prevention
each year and stays at the top 5% of call runners.
Robert is a full time firefighter with St. John's
Fire Department and is currently in emergency medical
technician basic course.

Jake Steinert was named the
firefighter of the quarter for the fourth quarter.
Jake joined the fire department in June of 2007.
Jake attended the recruit school at the South Carolina
Fire Academy earning his FF2 certificate. Jake began
his career in the fire service as a member of the
Charleston Fire Department assigned to Engine 16.
Jake recently tested and was premoted to Engineer
with Pine Ridge Fire Department. Jake has a great
sense of humor and has a great work ethic.
